Such a large and undeveloped land in the city center is a major urban problem. Though located in the heart of the city, this is not an attractive place. This impression is caused by the lack of friendly passers-by, nearness of Zawiszy Square junction, railway route “linia średnicowa” and wild vegetation. Therefore, this part of Warsaw is a place that is avoided by locals and tourists. Despite the high daily flow of people, this region is only an interchange point.

The main task of the design concept was to create an attractive public space in the center of the city associated with the development of the Railway Museum located in the historic railway station building. The concept includes degraded postrail terrain located between Towarowa Street, Kolejowa Street and active railway “linia średnicowa” along Jerozolimskie Street, with a total area 220 000m2.

The entire area has been opened in the direction of Wola district, related with the new street system and connected with Ochota district through a pedestrian footbridge that passes across the park and Jerozolimskie Street, linking the proposed extension of the Brylowska Street with Grzymaly Street.

Concept provides for the expansion of the existing Railway Museum and the Railroad Park project covering the areas of historical Warsaw Main Station [Warszawa Główna] with its access roads. It forms an extension of the museum exhibition Into the Open Space That Has Been Associated With The buildings designed for commercial services, culture, entertainment, education and recreation. The Railroad Park was conceived Also as a complement to green spaces Equipped with a recreational area for the adjacent residential development, Which According to local plan, is to be built north of Railway Street.
