Set in the southeast corner of California, the Imperial Sand Dunes are the largest mass of sand dunes in the country. Created by blown sands of ancient Lake Cahuilla dunes extend over an area larger than 40 miles. The place is dominated by off-road enthusiasts, and the number of cars of his own design is stunning (if anyone has seen the movie "Mad Max will be able to imagine the appearance of the vehicle:).
