Pavilion de la Exposición de la Arquitectura in Valencia, Spain

Pavilion de la Exposición de la Arquitectura is designed for showing the work of architects, sketches, models and posters of great projects.

Location:

Pavilion is located in Valencia. This is a city which is developing very fast, has plenty of good buildings and one of the best architecture departments in Spain.
That is why an architecture pavilion should be represented by a high-standard project.

On the pavilion terrain, next to the main entrance, is a parking place for cars and tourist buses. From the south is a side entrance to storehouse and a second one for people who would like to participate only in lectures and classes.
Main entrance leads inside through a small garden done is a Japanese style. Steel colonnade allows hanging up the posters between them, telling when and what kind of exhibition is going to be in the future.

Project:

The main part, the gallery, consists of representative hall with reception and cloak-room, and an exhibition area that is connected with outside, sculpture, part. Graphic works are hung on movable panels, which can be changed according to the exhibition. Above, is a mezzanine were the library and café bar are.

Exhibition building is connected with educational part through square patio. That is surrounded by a corridor, which is a little bit lower than the rest of educational area as well as from exhibition area, to emphasize the difference in destination of 3 parts.

Educational part consists of study rooms like: photography studio, art room and historical class, also here are placed rest rooms for personnel and director’s office. Besides in this part is a technical room and first part of storehouse. Educational building is partly cellared. There is an auditorium and second part of a storehouse.
